JumpDoc

Terms

Last updated 24 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and JumpDoc (“we”), based in Victoria, Australia, which runs the JumpDoc app. By creating an account you agree to them. The privacy notice explains what JumpDoc keeps about you. Questions: support@jumpdoc.app.

Who can use JumpDoc

  • You must be 16 or older to use JumpDoc.
  • If you use JumpDoc for a business, you agree to these terms for it, and confirm you may.
  • JumpDoc is in a private beta. Features may change or be removed, and it may sometimes be unavailable.

Your account

An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us.

Your content

  • You own what you put into JumpDoc, and the documents JumpDoc writes for you are yours to use as you like.
  • You let JumpDoc store, copy and process your content only to run JumpDoc for you, including sending it to the services the privacy notice names. This ends when you delete it, apart from backups, which age out within 30 days.
  • You confirm you have the right to add your content, and that it breaks no law and no one else's rights. Leave out other people's personal data and confidential documents you have no right to share.

What JumpDoc writes

JumpDoc writes requirements and recommendations with the help of AI. They can be wrong or incomplete, so check them before you rely on them. They are not legal, financial, security or other professional advice, and not a certification: for a product that handles sensitive data, money or safety, have an expert review your plans. Completion and readiness views help you plan; they do not promise that what you build will work.

Fair use

Do not use JumpDoc to:

  • break the law, or harm or deceive other people;
  • reach other people's accounts or data;
  • upload malware, attack JumpDoc or try to make its AI ignore its instructions;
  • overload JumpDoc or get around its limits, such as the daily AI allowance, or reach it by automated means other than the jumpdoc command-line tool and API with your own keys;
  • resell access to JumpDoc without our agreement.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

Plans, payment and cancelling

  • The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits JumpDoc shows.
  • Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription at the price shown when you upgrade, in US dollars, paid through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in Account settings, Plan and billing. Pro then lasts until the end of the period you paid for and is not charged again; the rest of that period is not refunded.
  • If you delete your account, Pro ends at once and the rest of the period is not refunded.
  • When Pro ends, your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted, but projects beyond its limit become read-only, and share links and API keys stop working until you upgrade again.
  • A coupon gives what it says for as long as it says; when it ends, Pro ends unless you add a payment method.
  • We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change, which then applies from your next renewal.
  • Refunds are given where the law requires them, whatever these terms say.

Changes and ending

  • We may change JumpDoc and these terms. We will tell you about an important change to the terms before it applies; if you do not agree, you can stop using JumpDoc and delete your account.
  • You can stop at any time, and delete your account in Account settings, Your data.
  • We may close your account with 30 days' notice, or at once if you seriously break these terms. If we stop running JumpDoc, we will give you time to download your data and refund any Pro period you paid for and did not get.

Our responsibility

You may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or the consumer law where you live, that these terms cannot exclude, and nothing here limits them. Where the law lets us limit our liability for failing a consumer guarantee, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.

Otherwise, and as far as the law allows, JumpDoc is provided as it is; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits; and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

The jumpdoc command-line tool

The jumpdoc command-line tool is open source under the MIT licence, which, not these terms, covers its code. Using it with JumpDoc is covered by these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria can hear any dispute about them. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your own country's law.
